Mac has been part of the culture since he was fifteen years old in Tulsa Oklahoma. At eighteen, Mac was wrapped up by Oklahoma authorities for cannabis related charges and eventually sentenced to two years on state prison.  Upon release Mac packed his bags and headed out West to chase the dreams he had while behind bars. The first stop was the great Northwest in Portland Oregon.  This was a strategic move, back in 2000 BC buds ruled the market "AAA beasters". Mac set his first grow up in 2000 in rental on Skyline Ave. Having a Dispensary in 2003 was not an ordinary occurrence and within 2 months of being in California, Mac was managing the three medical farms for the dispensary owner.

Mac aplllied for his first CA cultivation permits in 2015 one year before prop 64 recreational legalization programs were introduced and rolled out. Still working towards the permanent annual licensing in CA as most Mendocino farmers are, due to inconsistencies between the state and the county policies Mendocino farmers are awaiting our annual license.

Currently most Mendocino farms operate on Provisional licenses.

Our founders at 5-Dee, joined the cannabis industry in 2015 and started working 80-hr work weeks in the emerging market working a range of operations from processing to designing packaging. In 2017, we partnered with local artists to start a licensed delivery. We decided to diversify our delivery by increasing locations and servicing a larger area of the Bay through a new service. We experienced terrible contracts, bad working conditions, and limiting decision making in executive spaces for BIPOC perspectives. Cutting corners, turning a profit, and putting patients last were all reasons our founders at 5-Dee left these deliveries to start creative consulting for a range of licensed operators and brands.

Working with a range of brands such as Focus Concentrates, Black Medicine Coffee, Pacific Remedy, Barbary Coast and many other market leaders we serviced these companies with a range of creative offerings. After spending a year servicing the market and growing 5-Dee, we started with our first vertically-integrated craft cannabis operator, Uncle Mac‘s.

The farm specializes in hunting for unique phenotypes that are well suited for in the jar flower as well as hash winners. Always looking for the unicorns. We love solventless hash because it goes hand in hand with growing the plant and loving the plant. We do this for more than the money we do it for the passion and from the heart. THC % ... in due time and with market education the new consumers will be looking for a more mellow option.

In Q3 of 2021, corporate cannabis and state legislation hit Uncle Mac's farms with unreasonable fines. Seeing the growing demand for preserving a craft cannabis horticulture and need for BIPOC integration in the cannabis industry, our founders decided to pivot our consulting to a larger problem, craft cannabis governance, with our project $HASH DAO, aiming to decentralize and democratize the cannabis space for craft operators and BIPOC professionals and communities.
