With decades of a federal crackdown through extreme legislation and an active War on Drugs that started in the 1970's, the U.S. government has generated over one trillion dollars. In 1996, Prop 215 took the first step to make medical cannabis legal in California. In 2016, Prop 64 legalized recreational cannabis statewide.
This was seen not only as the beginning of bringing the legacy cannabis community into the light and into the new market, but also as the solution to correcting the years of unjust criminal charges and the mass incarceration of targeted minority communities.
So far ... not so much.

Historically, marginalized communities have faced disproportionate incarceration and unfair systemic gatekeeping of the cannabis industry. Our founder Mac Briggs, is a pioneer in the cannabis legalization movement, from the 215 and prop 64 era to now the domestic and international cannabis market. Our co-founder, Avinav Rao ("GRATITUDE"), worked with organizations such as Decriminalize Nature and Oakland Community Healing Initiative to help decriminalize community-use of entheogenic medicine, HASH DAO seeks to onboard and fund BIPOC-forward members to remove barriers of entry in the Web3 & Cannabis space.

Gatekeeping of the industry has created barriers to entry in the cannabis and tech space for decades. One of our goals at HASH DAO is to remove these barriers to entry by on-boarding BIPOC developers and craft operators who will be developing decentralized applications (dApps) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions centered around ESG metrics to create system frameworks and protocols for the horticulture supply chain.
Another major part of HASH DAO‘s unified solution is creating a cross-chain integration of digital assets, or the interoperability of one non-fungible token or asset across multiple platforms in the Metaverse. Along with cross-chain solutions we will offer the option to stake tokens and yield farming to create residual revenue growing the DAO’s asset portfolio.

HASH DAO has been created to allow easier access in the psychedl/acc space and easier integration into the emerging technologies of spatial compute, agentic frameworks, and Web3. Our focus is highlighting emerging as well as tried and tested solutions in the AgTech space, from open-source libraries, research papers, to emerging studies in field like plasma and electroculture.

We start with the launch of "akasha : a new earth" at the MIT AI Filmmaker's Hackathon 2024 showcasing a vision of a post-scarcity abundance timeline. This includes an immersive spatial interaction at the end where you can interact with Akasha and connect to the realm of Tao Science.
